How are companies doing Unified Vulnerability Management? The idea is bringing all inputs (AppSec, DevSecOps, VM scanning, asset discovery etc) into one platform. Instead of creating a homegrown solution, are there vendors that do this well?

My organization (university with significant medical and research presence) is evaluating IoT Security monitoring and profiling tools, and I would like to know how other organizations have evaluated these tools. I am looking into what a potential strategy may look like, and so far we have a few aspirational ideas like automation of network segmentation and IoT asset management.
