I am not expecting SAP, Oracle or Microsoft to invest in understand the nuances of the relatively niche industry my company is part of. I do however expect that they understand that we will need to customize things in order to address those nuances, and give us a robust means of doing so without having to butcher the underlying platform too badly. From that point, it's the System Integrator's job to correctly understand all the nuances and do a good job of building them into the system.
Is anyone leveraging Red Hat OpenShift to replace VMware as a hypervisor offering, and if so, any migration lessons learned to share for those going down that path?
