Developer experience isn't solely about tools. While tools play a role in the entire equation, they aren’t the primary driver. When it comes to tooling, my perspective is to provide as much freedom as possible. Allow developers to select their own tools; they understand how to perform at their best. Let them make those choices. Offer guidelines and a budget, and let the rest develop organically. Admittedly, from a governance perspective, this can pose a challenge, but the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks. What is the right platform/cloud services with of the shelf tools can be used to create enterprise GenAI SaaS in organization with multiple companies and subsidiaries?
In the target SaaS model, multiple APIs should be available to consume external LLM services, front end, prompt library that can be used by the end user, predefined data sources, Guardials and security controls.
