Is Cloudflare safe compared to Zscaler or Cisco Umbrella? Has anyone ever experienced a DDOS attack or another network disruption while using Cloudflare?

I've had experience with all three products in different implementation use cases. I've been a long-time customer with Cloudflare (member of their customer advisory council) and have implemented a number of their DDoS protection products such as Magic Transit, Bot Management, WAF's, DNS Firewall, API Shield, Page Shield, etc. Yes, I have experienced DDOS attacks with their products implemented. No product is 100% as attack vectors continue to evolve and you have to balance what you block and where you block it. I would say they offer a superior set of products, and their support/escalation teams have been very helpful. I haven't used Zscaler or Umbrella for DDOS prevention. I used those products more for secure web browsing, but I know they have expanded their capabilities.
We have experienced DDOS attacks while using cloudflare and it handled concurrent traffic of over 5 Gbps easily.
I don’t exactly understand the question. What do you mean is it ‘safe’?
Yes, Cloudflare has gone down. But no cloud provider can every guarantee 100% uptime. And if they do, then they simply don’t understand things.
I have had several years of experience using Cloudflare for my own web projects. In my experience, Cloudflare has been incredibly reliable in terms of network security and DDOS attack prevention. Cloudflare is used by some of the biggest companies in the world and provides excellent protection for their websites.
I have not experienced any network disruption while using Cloudflare. In fact, I have only ever seen my website speed and availability increase while using them. As a content delivery network (CDN) and reverse proxy solution, Cloudflare offers an unmatched level of protection and performance.
We were hit by a 100 Gbit/s DDoS and CloudFlare didn't even stop half of it. I highly recommend using a different solution
