I am reposting again a question I had about one year ago to see what's your view today. Is Microsoft Copilot suite of product a good fit for GenAI in a company? I am still wondering, as I see that quality of results from Copilot is still lower vs, for example ChatGPT. I would have expected a dramatic improve in the last year, but this did not happen. Like if the gap is getting bigger and bigger.

My company adopts Microsoft Copilot and it has many flavors. Of all the versions that come embedded in Office, only Outlook's is somewhat useful. The ones in PowerPoint, Excel and Word are lacking, and that seems to be a consensus among my co-workers.
A very useful feature, which mimics ChatGPT, is called BizChat. It is embedded in MS Edge and is really helpful as you can open it with a single click and read the content from a webpage or PDF you have open in Edge. This is the one I use the most and I find it to be just as good as ChatGPT.
Assuming the only use case in this topic is as an Endpoint productivity tool / Enhancement to current tools. Most of the Tools from Microsoft, Anthropic and OpenAI are at aa similar price point, and if you use the correct agent for the correct use case and application eventually even out, especially considering the rapid change, the technology later should be viewed in an agnostic viewpoint. I’d suggest trial and test three different tools but consider aspect like Training, integration into your different platforms and what are the most valuable uses cases you want to focus on
Microsoft Copilot's suitability for your GenAI needs depends on specific goals and workflows.
To maximize benefits, you should define clear use cases, establish guidelines for usage and output, and monitor performance. Key considerations include data security, customization, and integration with existing systems. By leveraging Copilot effectively, you can enhance IT governance, freeing staff to focus on high-priority initiatives.
Ultimately, you should assess Copilot's fit within their specific context, weighing benefits against potential limitations. A thorough evaluation will help determine whether Copilot can support the organization's goals and workflows.
