How are people approaching a mobile-first workforce in their organization?

Companies are implementing mobile-friendly technologies, developing apps, providing device support and security, revising work processes, and providing training to employees.
With Collaboration tools, moving to cloud/SaaS, Zero Trust and way to measure the effectiveness of each member in the team
With flexibility, clearly communicated goals, and focus on outcomes instead of output. Micro-management is a terrible approach that doesn't work, allow your employees to choose their own working hours and preferred style of work... It is also important to choose the right tooling, so teams can constantly stay in touch - that does NOT mean online meetings with mandatory cameras, but modern tools like Slack (I'm a big fan).
I'm remote since 2006, working from all around the globe, and spend most of my career focusing on work from anywhere (EUC veteran).
Slack is essential. If it's not provided, the staff will use WhatsApp.
With a trust and verify approach… tools to measure workload and productivity are essential as well as increased communication.
The overwhelming majority of our workforce do not want to use their personal devices to engage with HR and other technology/self-service, including Outlook, HR systems, etc. Has anyone implemented any effective policies and strategies to drive mobile utilization? Thanks.
