How can you fast track your career?
Sort by:
Opportunities are not typically given out freely but they are often earned. People will notice a hard-working, humble employee. They will notice the person who goes the extra mile in serving others and in professional growth.
To "fast track" a career you have to hit the ground running and put your head down and grind it out. Learn everything. Don't just learn your job, learn the jobs of the people around you. Understand the whole company, the product, the process, the culture. Don't limit yourself by staying in your lane and only caring about what you are specifically paid to do. The more you can absorb from others will ultimately lead to your success.
Be diligent, learn and volunteer as much as possible, do your job and do it well, and network as much as possible.
Education, certification and experience
I work in education and therefore I believe one of The best ways to fast track your career is to come educated and up-to-date in needed skill sets. There is no shortage of desire in the workplace to find educated, hard-working, and skilled employees.
Self-directed, lifelong learning, usually pays dividends.
I’ve been using Udemy and Coursera to add new skills and I think one should invest in themself with lifelong learning.
Thanks All for your thoughts and comments.
