Any miscommunication will impact heavily any project within the company. Assumptions are created and these ones are the tools for the upcoming demise. As soon as a transformation initiative is being "cooked" a set of guidelines must be created and shared with anyone who will be involved in this initiative, these guidelines must have all the communication tools to be used as well as the frequency for the communication to thrive. This has to be revised on a monthly basis to gather information of what's been going on OK for the project as well as what's been going wrong at it.

Communication is vital to get anything done. If there isnt clear communication, then you cant achieve anything. Transformation cannot happen if everyone isn't clear on what is required of them and its imperative that its  two-way rather than top down.

Without good, clear and unambiguous communication, any change will be challenging to implement and this is not different for a transformation. Without great communication at all levels of the business, you will struggle with buy-in, morale, adoption and acceptance of any change, and ultimately this will mean the transformation takes longer and costs more.

A transformation that will be eventually effective, needs a lot of work and coordination. Lack of communication between various departmets and personnel will result in inefficient management and workflow. Without proper communication, a transformation cannot be as efficient and impactful as it will be.

While running any transformation initiative, it is critical to have a sound communication plan which ensures timely, regular and clear information is passed on to the relevant audience.

We like to follow the Know-Feel-Do approach to shape the communication in a way that will help the recipients understand the purpose, how will they feel about it and what is expected of them. Although this fits better for Change Management initiatives, but works well in other setups as well.
