We are considering alternatives but not shifted, wondered if anyone had looked at/implemented Platform9?

We're in the process of migrating to Proxmox VE (KVM-based)

Open source so we'll only pay for support; and now supported by Veeam, our standard backup platform.

We also considered Hyper-V but their migration to the Azure tools seems like work in process.

We are dealing with a specific issue in our VDI non-persistent environment, which operates using Omnissa Horizon (formerly VMware). We are employing a hybrid join for authentication that integrates ADFS and Entra ID.   Here are the details of our problem:   1. **Environment**: VDI non-persistent using Omnissa Horizon 2. **Authentication Method**: Hybrid join with ADFS and Entra ID 3. **Issue**: Users are experiencing difficulties authenticating to Microsoft 365 apps within the virtual machine. The authentication process gets stuck in a loop when attempting to access the smartcard. I would appreciate any insights or experiences from others who have encountered similar issues or have a similar environment working successfully.

We're a manufacturing enterprise currently using Rockwell FactoryTalk on the OT side, with our infrastructure traditionally built on VMware. As many of you are likely aware, the Broadcom acquisition has significantly increased VMware support costs, prompting us to evaluate alternatives as we plan our next infrastructure refresh. One option we're considering is Microsoft Hyper-V. However, Rockwell does not officially support or test FactoryTalk on Hyper-V, which raises some concerns.
