We use Salesforce. It's complicated, but we've integrated it with Wrike (project management) and Hubspot (adding opportunities/leads, prospect scoring). Our Client Services team uses it for support (tickets automatically opened when emails come in) and that works great. Integration with Outlook also adds any inbound/outbound email involving a person's email address that it recognizes in Salesforce, so any employee looking at company activities can see what might be in the works for that client.

Cons: You get what you put into it -- and this is any CRM -- unless the company as a whole embraces it and people are mindful of data integrity

A customer is created in SFDC when opportunity is closed won. We have templates and workflows for account management - onboarding, success milestones, QBRs, renewal reminders, etc.

We utilize Hubspot for weekly newsletter and general outbound campaigns to our customers.

We have integrated these two so information flows between.
