Our energy utility also happens to be the inspection authority for all wiring inspections that are conducted to support new construction, modifications, heat pump and solar installations and such. The volume of traditional field inspections has risen greatly with scaling expectations that cannot be met with traditional inspection resources and processes.  

Our company is now planning on developing systems and processes to enable 'virtual' wiring inspections to take place to efficiently and effectively handle the increasing volumes of inspection work.   

What other energy utility companies have moved to "virtual inspections"?  What technology solutions have been deployed that out company should be considering?
