I am very sad to see that... but I feel the reasons and it's not a surprise to think about cost reductions.

The team morale is affected by measures such as mandatory 2 days a week at the office and budget reduction for some projects.  Some projects were exciting (new technologies, etc.) but have been either slowed down or cancelled.

Some teams are doing only maintenance on application as no new project starts.

Most of the application team I lead is in Brazil and the global IT leadership (US-based) now wants to move some of that work to a new global delivery center in India to be more cost effective, but I have doubts. The Brazil team is delivering good quality — is cost efficiency enough reason to relocate the work? What are the biggest pros/cons we need to consider?
