It will depend on how AI has been set up if it is based on past data and mirroring existing stereotypes for example machine learning from a biased recruiter then it would be flawed. There is research underway to look at how fairness can be built into AI so there is potential for it to reduce bias but maybe not to fully eliminate it- this is why there will always need to be a human element to sense check data alongside AI.
