Our company has a requirement you must be in the office. It started about 6 years ago. We’ve been remote during COVID but they have made it clear that once it’s safe it’s 100% back in the office or face termination

I think it will backfire with those under 35 years of age departing ASAP.

Prior to COVID it primarily pushed older workers into retirement who did have work from home approved and had relocated. Once that was revoked, a lot of older workers departed.

I think now the under 35 year old expect at least partial remote work so it will be difficult to recruit 2022 and beyond unless the policy changes

We use Microsoft PowerBI extensively at the company. Over 15,000 reports.
For our "corporate" reports, like financials or HR, we centralize those requests and attend them with my team.
We currently "extract" information from multiple systems (ie. SAP, SuccessFactors, CRM, etc...) and put in into a SQL Analysis Services. For interpreting the data we have a Semantics model in PBI.
The problem I see is we can't scale enough to comply with the reporting demands as the semantic model is "unique" and we end up having only one or two developers that can work at a time.
Anyone has an idea how to scale their PBI teams without having to redevelop the semantic model per report?

Has anyone had any success with evaluating the impact of using Generative AI tools such as GitHub's Copilot on the productivity or performance impact on developers? I see a lot of qualitative discussions about how developers say they are more productive, but how are you measuring that impact?
