Yes, we do have few projects/initiatives where we used Databricks. We love it. Let me know what specific questions you have.

IMO Databricks is your one-stop platform for Enterprise data engineering, analytics, and AI, combining the flexibility of a Data Lakehouse with the innovation of Generative AI and governed with Unity Catalog.

I do. I like the platform. However, the pricing complexities in terms of DBUs could lead to a certain degree of complexity. I would be cautious when evaluating some of the pricing models for your core and nice-to-have capabilities that you would like to capitalize on. Their roadmap looks good in terms of adopting emerging technologies in this space. However, it is a long shot to consider if the core itself is struggling to keep up the pace.

We've been using Databricks for some years now. Only surprised by the complex pricing model based on DBU's. During contract renewal we experienced that the commercial people hardly understand it themselves.

we are exploring them for a number of different opps including a PoC we are doing now with their AI platform to parse unstructured data and populate fields in ERP (SAP) to improve accuracy and speed.
