Does anyone have a good strategy for preventing decision fatigue during annual financial planning? Any ideas welcome in the comments.

I am not sure to which decisions you are referring, but moving from an annual plan (budget) to a rolling forecast/planning approach spreads out the decision making and analysis process so that it occurs more naturally as ideas and opportunities present themselves.
Creating a robust long term planning process including financial targets can reduce decision fatigue as many decisions have been made in the long term plan. I find clear targets simplify the budget process.
