What developments are you seeing in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) practices?

There's more awareness of and discussion about DEIB, which is encouraging. The next step is to see meaningful action, not just words.
It's time to move beyond words and embrace action. It's about actively implementing processes and procedures and prioritizing accountability.<br>
I have seen in service industry for example more awareness to DEI topics, gradually it will be more acceptable in other industries. For a boost equality KPIs will help, but the society needs to move more towards neutrality mindset than equality, which will take different lengths of time depending on the cultures.
Our staff is very enthusiastic about DEI and it's become a natural part of our corporate culture.
Just a reflection of general societal shifts towards more DEI (but not all shifts are positive as we also see increased polarization and division). Market pressure driving the need to compete for talent does wonders to promote DEI.
Currently, there are attempts to undermine the significance of DEI, often fueled by misconceptions. DEI extends beyond conventional categories like race and gender, encompassing veterans, individuals with disabilities, neurodivergent, socioeconomic challenges, LGBTQ+, pronouns, ageism, transgender, mental health, and more. The misunderstanding lies in thinking DEI is about offering opportunities to unqualified professionals, which is far from the truth. It's about ensuring equitable access for ALL employees in areas like inclusive hiring practices, compensation, promotions, training, and education. Organizations failing to create inclusive workplaces risk losing top talent and financial opportunities as the world becomes more diverse. Transforming DEI statements into measurable, long-term, and impactful change is crucial for progress. Organizations must measure their progress using data analytics to ensure meaningful advancements.
