Looking to get the community input for suitable job title for a role sits in the technology unit and predominantly working with MS Purview relating Data Governance and Compliance modules. Hiring under the title of "Data Governance Specialist" seems to be attracting different sets of talents coming from the business side. If there is alternate title could be better suited for such type of work?

Thanks Ravl. Much appreciated for the pointers.
When it comes to the more technical roles within data governance then it can help to clearly focus on the solution aspect.
The it could be listed as data governance architect (more often seen as MDM architect) or data governance solution specialist / analyst or data governance engineer if development is expected (or data engineer then write that is within data governance).
In our case we have technical data governance roles integrated in the Data, Analytics and AI competency area.
Thanks Anders for sharing your view, this is helpful.
Data Governance Analyst? Data Governance Technical Analyst?
Data Governance specialist role sit under IT. The initial focus is working on governance tool with much interaction with the business to build the requirement overtime as well. Personally previously coming from a Data Analytics background and organically moved into the a Data Governance role my observation in the market traditionally it sit in the business side. With sudden shift of Cyber security focus the Governance role now shift into a more technical focus.
Hiring for a data governance roles is not an easy task like hiring a data engineer or a data visualization expert. The talent pool is very small. We have to wade through different sets of experiences and technical backgrounds. It may not be easy to find a candidate(s) that are a perfect fit. Based on the job requirements it is better to find some one closely aligned, show right attitude to expand their horizon, and coachable.
