How are companies dealing with the rash of Executive Orders coming out - especially related to DEI? Changes to DEI programs? Changes to language? Internal comms versus external comms? How are you supporting your historically excluded employees?

We will work with Legal to conduct an audit of our end to employment practices and diversity programs and initiatives.  SHRM's EO Impact Zone has been a good resource to stay up to date on changes and recommendations.

We are reviewing all of our training, policies and programs to determine what may need to change. There are still some unanswered questions, and SHRM has been a good resource for information. We are also working closely with our in house attorneys.

Very early days on this.  So much has happened in the past 48 hours.  Unfortunately, there is a lot of misinformation about what DEI is and now is the time for us to speak up and say what it really means.  For now, we are staying the course and continuing with building a diverse pipeline and supporting our ERG.  We will not require training but will make it available. And we will go lighter on internal and external communications.
