Do you know anyone who migrated to the Informatica SaaS MDM solution? If so, please describe the migration experience in detail (pros / cons). Is the MDM SaaS all that it was promised to be?

We moved from AirWatch to InTune some time ago so the experience isn’t specific to Informatica however we do have learnings that from the deployment that I believe would be helpful. First, your project sponsor should be the Office of the CISO or your CISO. The rationale is there may be certifications, attestations or compliance requirements your organization must meet and they will understand this. Second and most importantly, ensure you have Functional and Technical requirements documented and signed off by the project sponsor (in our case this was our CISO) once the deployment is complete. We had technical teams decide that some policies couldn’t be implemented so they dropped it from the list. This will help with final signoff and audit requirements because they can see the way things are set up and that someone signed off on the deployment. Third, communicate to Senior leadership what changes will occur and how this will affect the people that are enrolled. In our case, this was not done effectively so when things stopped working, it was perceived as a failure when in fact it was operating as designed. You should make this part of an overall OCM phase in the project since people will need to re-enroll their device(s).
