What new or different criteria do you use when selecting technologies to implement as part of your RevOps strategy?

The main criterion for me is that everything needs to do a little bit more than it used to.
With revenue operations, it is crucial that teams do not work in a siloed fashion. The integration of technology becomes more important in this context. Any new technology or tool must work seamlessly with the existing tech stack. Therefore, the key functionality I look for is how easily it integrates with the current systems.
The second important factor is scalability. It's not just about solving today's problems; the technology must be able to grow with us. Initially, we might pay less based on consumption, number of users, licenses, or features, but as we grow, we will pay more. However, I don't want to have to replace the technology later as long as it continues to meet our needs.
The third criterion is ease of use. If the technology is clunky, people will not adopt it. Adoption is crucial, and if the user interface is not user-friendly, it will hinder the process. Many tools now offer no-code options and intuitive graphical user interfaces, which help with adoption. Regular training for team members also plays a significant role in ensuring the technology is effectively utilized.
