Regulated industry mandate attention to regulations. That said, regulators may be and often are way behind the quickly evolved technology. From "AI" security perspective, there is an entire evolving world of prompt injections and other harmful inferences - which is not even understood, let alone addressed, by most governance bodies.

It's something you should follow, and I recommend trying to monitor the standards that are put in place and see how they evolve over time. I would see what you can do to improve your security posture and stay ahead of vulnerabilities in all of your systems. Keep a tight grasp on software development, data validation, and incident response workflows. If the FDA makes recommendations, it's best to follow them.
