For me, one of the most successful loyalty programs globally combines emotional connection with clear, behavior-driven rewards. The strongest programs don’t just offer points for transactions; they reward specific behaviors that drive long-term engagement (e.g., advocacy, frequency of use, social sharing, or milestone achievements). Structurally, the best ones use tiered benefits that feel meaningful at each level, with simple rules and easy ways for members to see progress. If you can align the rewards with the actions you want customers to take—and make the experience enjoyable and transparent, you tend to see much higher loyalty and retention.

This may not be the type of loyalty program you are referring to, but when it comes to 1st class customer service/support and loyalty of a brand where your customer gets rewarded, hands down it's American Express with their service (always a live person, state-side), they take you at your word on any disputes, and they have a very aggressive rewards point structure.  If you can duplicate that as it relates to the loyalty program you're researching, you'll hit a home run...just share it with the rest of us ;-)
