We are reviewing our PTO Policy for salaried employees to gauge how competitive it is to the current market. We are a US based manufacturing company with about 5,000 employees. Currently we start all salaried employees with 10 days of PTO (this includes sick and vacation time). They increase to 15 days when they hit 5 year with the organization, then go to 20 days at 15+ years. What is your current PTO policy for salaried employees? What is your standard to start employees at, and at what intervals do they gain more days per year?

We have 2 different policies... for Exempt they get 2 weeks vacation and 2 weeks sick. They can use the sick for vacation, but it's designed to be there to help with the waiting period for STD (which is only 1 week). They ...read more1
