Continuous development is a key trait in leaders. We should be setting the example and taking the time to invest in ourselves in order to improve

When I was in high school, one of my teachers told me something that was my guide throughout my career. He told me that every investment you make in education has at least a 3:1 rate of return, and you should never hesitate to invest money in education.
Education should be an ongoing and never-ending process. I like certifications as they structure what you need to learn, and it's easier to set expectations and assign time to them. On top, you have a 3rd party to verify that you have learned the topic to some degree.

Additional, seminars, conferences, demos and proof of concepts are valuable additions where you can learn a lot of new and trending technologies. I do dedicate a percentage of my time and income to continuing education.

in the beginning continuing education is all about building credibility and confidence. As years go by, management experience and track record carry more weight; however, in this field the need too update and widen your knowledge base through seminars and other training oportunities should not be missed. For those looking to move to another sector in tech the need for training is a must, regardless of job maturity.

The world changes every day and the nature of problems that we face are different, so the day when we stop learning, we will start becoming inefficient. Investment in the education never go a waste, as everything we learn become handy either today or tomorrow. Every aspiring or veteran leader should invest at least 2 hours a week i continuous learning.
