What is the industry standard for Desktop Support and Field Services Staffing Ratios?

Typical IT companies keep 1 person for 80-100 staff

Like Frederick said before, there is no specific standard, because it depends on several factors, like type of industry, size of the organization, what kind of technology do they have (maturity) and locations.
Personally, I work with 1 technician per foreign location, 2 to 3 in main offices, each one attending no more than 80 users, with an average of 15 to 20 tickets daily.
What I have researched has numbers we are not even close to (1 tech per every 150 devices for example). We are closer to 475 devices to every field tech. We do practice a 4 year lifecycle on laptops and 5 year on desktops and push for full warranty services for those life times.
