Somewhat against the crowd, I don't think that any technology introduces issues and challenges around data privacy, cybersecurity, ethics and compliance.<br><br>People introduce challenges around privacy, security, compliance and ethics.<br><br>People are and always have been both the strongest and the weakest link, paradoxically.

Democratisation of technology continues to expand and each new breakthrough technology goes from 0 to x millions faster. Millennials and younger account for half of the global population of more than 4 billion. Add Gen X and you get over 75%. Almost 90% of the global population has a cell phone. Social media touches about 4 Billion people.
My point is that 0 to 100 million, is, each year, a much less important statistic than the % of market share globally. GPT has 180 million users as of August 2024. That's reaching about 2.2% of the global population or say - estimating - 4.4% of tech savvy people. I estimate TikTok market share after 2-3 years was about 20% of 4 billion tech savvy people.
While I am neutral on the gpt topic, I look at the numbers and think that not enough people use GPT and too many people use tiktok. ;-)
