Our IT business analysts maintain weekly workstream calls via Teams with business units in order to maintain presence in the business. We review status/backlog/ideations for improvements. We stay close enough and often enough to the business that we know their priorities and goals.

We partner with Finance, HR, Policy Planning to support an Annual Planning to refresh our corporate strategy, digital enablement strategy, data strategy and digital health strategy. We establish annual goals and objectives which are prioritized, resourced, and planned. If only the execution parts were as simple. :-)

We instituted a process (informal) this year to @mention our cross-functional colleagues in any goals that we believed would require their participation, support, or be a draw on the resources on their teams. This was a quick way to asynchronously share goals across functional leaders for awareness and alignment.
