I as a CEO present to our board of directors every quarter. Key topics include Quarterly Financial Performance & Progress against our 3 year Strategic Plan.

I present quarterly at the request of the CEO. Annually review security and risk assessments. Other topics may be business or initiative related.

I guess it depends on the stage of your company and the composition of your cap table. My board is made up of investors that mainly look at the financial metrics, leaving the operation for the ELT, hence i’m not presenting

I as a CTO present to the board in every single meeting. Usually I talk with my CEO regarding which topics shall I present ( 75% of the ones I present are authorized by him ).

I would divide those ones into:

1. Business related topics that Engineering have created, such as new endeavors proposed by Marketing or Product.

2. Tech related topics that have allowed us to be more efficient and to allow the company to reach faster our OKRs, such as changes in our infrastructure, architecture, git flow, etc.

3. In support of other department’s achievements in which we have participated somehow. Sometimes, it is mentioned while those departments are presenting to the board.
