What are some good questions to ask as an interviewee? (Not an interviewer)

What questions to ask, can often be entirely dependent on who the interviewee is. I may ask for opportunities to innovate, where others may ask for a growth path. In general, your questions should help tell the interviewer who you are. Do you care about sustainability, diversity, parental leave, etc., etc.. 

Questions:
1. What is the company's philosophy on leadership and how does training and hiring reflect that philosophy? 
2. How does the company view community participation. I like to work for organizations that share my views on giving back. 
3. I noticed that diversity is mentioned several times on the website, can you tell me a little about how the company creates a diverse employee population?
4. What's the current assumption about the role I'm applying for, has it been successful, is it seen as a role where a turnaround might be required?
5. How does the company view the idea of innovating? Are employees given a percentage of their time to work on new ideas/innovating? 

Other Questions:
1. Ask about the financials and recent press releases
- Is there something in one of the press releases or the quarterly report that caught your attention (I.e., a project was just started in France and you speak French or have always wanted to work in Europe)
2. Ask about the company from the perspective of the employees: If you asked 10 employees "What's the best thing about working for X?", what would be some of their answers? Conversely, you might ask the opposite "What would they say they don't like?"

Why did the last person leave?

What is your ideal work culture?
How you you maintain your work-life balance?
Have you ever had a time when you felt burnt out at work? How did you overcome it?

What do you know (or think you know) about us as an organization?
